Overall Objectives
- High profile project, high profile role within Systematic Trading Initiative program.
- Deliver high performance, tested Java code as part of a global team focused in New York and Europe.
- Able to build relationships with global dev team, knowledge and experience of design, coding, building, testing, deployment, JIRA allocation/scrum is essential.
- Drive platform towards implementation of strategic technologies as defined by applied architecture and see through multiple systems integrations.
- Learn systematic equity business and technology, be a team player.
- Understand technology and business goals; work with minimal direction closely with partners to achieve outcomes.
Qualifications
Graduate degree preferably on math, physics, computer science is required
Experience
- 5 years experience in a algo/ Front Office I.T role
- Experienced Linux user including shell scripting, build scripts etc.
- Database design experience, preferably Oracle
- Experience building shared services for an Investment Banking organization.
- Proven track record on problem solving and solid delivery record of successful production rollouts.
- Proven ability to work independently and as well in a multi culture team environment.
- Experience/knowledge of Commodities is highly desirable
Skills
- Server-side Java 5/6 programming skills nio/collections, spring etc
- Middleware LBM & Protobufs
- Strong UNIX skills
- Experience in automated testing and message dispatch
- KDB / Q , Eclipse RCP an advantage
- Strong analytical and technical background with good problem solving skills.
- Good Application design and development and reporting skills which requires close coordination with business aligned dev teams
- Experienced with different software architectures (Rich Domain Model vs. Service Oriented).
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients within multicultural team environment.
- Automated testing and continuous integration (JUnit, EasyMock or similar a plus)
