The Utility Management Program Leader and Mid-Atlantic North Client Director position is a prominent regional leadership role focused on building client relationships and creating value for our clients. The role includes collaboration with B&V's top regional and technical leaders to channel our relationships and capabilities into becoming the go-to trusted advisors for our clients in delivering utility management and capital delivery solutions. The role includes developing and implementing strategies to develop and implement capital delivery programs/solutions for clients to optimize investment and delivery of capital investment needs as well as supporting programs as a leader or technical advisor. This includes supporting clients in optimizing their full capital improvement programs but also creating opportunities to leverage programmatic delivery for focused segments of their capital improvement program such as lead and copper compliance or SSES activities. Role will also include supporting client engagement in the Mid-Atlantic North Subregion to support growth of the government and environment business and service offerings for key clients. Primary focus will be with east region clients along with collaboration PM/CM business line professionals to identify and deliver programmatic utility management solutions. Description Strategic Planning - Strategize with East Region Leadership Team, client directors, and PM/CM Business Line professionals to identify and develop critical thought leadership for utility capital delivery solutions for clients. Identify key opportunities and clients within the East Region and lead/support opportunity pursuit for associated capital delivery opportunities. Collaborate with Planning and Asset Management business line professionals to provide insights regarding utility capital planning and asset management solution needs (asset assessments, asset management, technology, digital water solutions, CIP planning, etc) and support as a leader or technical specialist utility management and planning projects in additional to leading/managing capital delivery programs. Engage/lead key pursuits - Engage with key Water business pursuits to differentiate our offering. This includes meeting with clients, developing strategic messaging, developing key differentiators, working with PM/CM and P&AM to apply integrated technical and delivery solutions to meet client's needs, providing overall pursuit leadership or support on elements of pursuits. Lead/support client engagement activities for key client in the Mid-Atlantic North (MAN) Subregion to develop and deliver solutions working closely with Subregion leadership Local Business Relationships - Foster business relationships with key clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic North subregion and other East Region clients in support of overall business growth Lead Projects when serving as Client Director or Program Manager - Develop custom approaches integrating B&V processes and procedures to establish effective capital delivery programs in achieving client's program delivery goals. Provide project oversight both during project pursuit phase and project execution phase as Client Director/Program Manager ensuring delivery to meet client's objectives and expectations. Mentoring staff - Provide mentoring and coaching for professionals associated with utility management and capital program delivery Key Responsibilities o Develop strategies and plans for programmatic utility capital delivery solutions for clients o Provide leadership for lead and copper compliance and other infrastructure program business development and execution o Manage multiple clients and /or projects o Develop and maintain personal relationships with clients, business partners, and competitors o Deliver expected volume of New Business and Earned PGM from assigned project portfolio o Promote the full range of service offerings o Assign and lead positioning of client account teams o Make Go / No Go decisions or recommendations and assist with preparation of approval documents o Oversee execution of professional service projects to meet or exceed expectations for safety, quality, schedule, and budget o Participate as Subject Matter Expert in projects across the East Region leveraging utility management and capital delivery expertise to support opportunity capture and delivery for utilities. This position will be evaluated on success in the following areas:
o Expansion of the regional market, including expanding the diversity of our services provided o Success in securing strategic roles that position us for larger assignments or broader emerging market segments o Successful delivery of existing lead and copper programs meeting client expectations while delivering on time and under budget. o New Business PGM for Business Line Portfolio o East Region and Mid-Atlantic North Subregion Earned PGM o East Region and Mid-Atlantic North Subregion New Business PGM Preferred Qualifications 15 years experience with emphasis on hands-on utility management and capital delivery experience for water and wastewater utilities Utility management and organization effectiveness experience; Strong technical understanding of water/wastewater/stormwater markets, including drivers and general trends Strong sales traits, including tenacity, competitiveness Overall people skills including collaboration, respect, inclusion Highly task oriented to focus on winning new business and achieving sales targets Ability to work in a team environment and influence others Excellent verbal and written communication skills; inter-personal skills; presentations skills Ability to think strategically and create persuasive message, Contract negotiating skills which includes knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms, Ability to sell; strong negotiating and persuasive skills, Understanding of budgets and financial metrics, Self-starter and ability to make decisions independently, Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to multiple demands of project teams and shifting priorities, Problem solving skills, Leadership skills. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
