EOE Position Information:
The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for providing comprehensive registration for customers presenting to the Emergency Department with medical emergencies.
Prioritizes workload in a fast-paced environment, delivering unsurpassed customer service to patients and families in stressful situations.
Responsibilities include maintaining visible position in Emergency Department lobby, greeting arriving patients, gathering pertinent data for proper patient identification, placing identification band on patient, and maintains regulatory compliance.
Engages the triage nurse immediately for patients presenting with cardiac complaints, stroke symptoms, and other emergencies.
Responsible for collecting financial and demographic information, verifying active insurance for maximum reimbursement, obtaining signatures for general consent, and scanning documents into the electronic medical record.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Patient Registration Required - And 1 Year Customer Service Preferred Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Associate's Degree Business Administration Or Related Field Preferred Licensure/Certification Requirements:

00pm (rotating Tues and Thurs off) Weekend Requirements:
Every Other Call Requirements:
One day per month.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
