My client has an exciting and rare opportunity to join their team as a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician must have 3 to 5 years of experience with Class A multi-family units. Maintenance technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations, including faucets, garbage disposals, toilets, and water heaters.
- Conduct appliance repair and installation, such as microwaves, washer/dryers, ovens, refrigerators, and dishwashers. This may require moving the appliance into the unit.
- Handle electrical tasks, including power switch repairs, fuse replacements, wall socket installations, light fixture repairs, and garage door opener installations.
- Assist with HVAC (Air Conditioning) maintenance, such as checking for leaks, charging units with Freon, replacing thermostats and capacitors, and replacing air filters.
- Conduct apartment maintenance turn-key processes, including assessing vacant units and preparing them for rental.
Essential Job Functions of the Maintenance Technician:
- Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Review work orders and ensure all necessary materials and tools are available.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
Skills needed for the Maintenance Technician role:
- Strong knowledge and experience in plumbing, appliance repair/installation, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
