As a Corporate Communications Specialist for the JMP business unit of SAS, you will primarily be responsible for planning international marketing programs, and writing and editing outbound marketing materials. You will concentrate on these communication channels: white papers; JMP and SAS product positioning; Web ; print and online advertising; direct-mail campaigns; e-mail communications; customer success stories; brochures and flyers; and conference, seminar and trade show support pieces.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Writing original and often technical content for a variety of communications channels.
Editing and re-writing copy for a variety of communications channels, to bring quality and consistency to existing and new content.
Planning and supporting marketing programs for International SAS offices and international JMP offices.
Working with other divisions of SAS in order to produce a variety of communications pieces.
Essential

Bachelor's degree in English or Journalism

5 years of professional writing and/or editing experience.

Work location of Cary, NC.
Additional

Excellent writing, editing and copyediting skills.

Knowledge of various editorial style guides and experience creating personalized style guides.

Knowledge of SAS-specific corporate style guidelines for writing and editing.

Ability to convey highly technical concepts via clear and concise writing.

Strong client relationship skills.

Ability to work on multiple time-critical projects.
Preferences

Advanced degree in English or Journalism.

Experience as a professional copyeditor.

Experience with writing technical content for lay audiences.

Ability to edit technical pieces such as whitepapers.
