Mid-South is actively recruiting for a brand new role- Marketing Specialist. In this exciting new role, the Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to develop and execute the marketing initiatives for the organization.
Mid-South is a full-service, consulting
engineering
firm providing solutions to clients in an array of industries from solid wood and engineered wood products, to pulp and paper to power and energy and bioenergy and pelletizing. We have experience in industrial projects from small capital projects to full greenfield projects.
Summary: Under general guidance, the Marketing Specialist will develop and execute marketing and communication initiatives for the organization as a whole. This includes web content development and optimization, marketing campaign execution, social media, analytics, sales support material creation and implementation, development of print collateral and branding identity efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assist with content development and publishing for corporate website and social media.
Assist with creative development and implementation for product brochures and sales support materials.
Create and lead execution of marketing campaigns.
Assist with lead generating initiatives.
Assist with tradeshow planning, jobfair planning, creative development, giveaways, etc.
Maintain ongoing knowledge of digital marketing trends, technologies and best practices.
Assist with marketing department vendor relationships and oversight as needed as well as internal Marketing Committee members.
Develop marketing reporting.
Perform various day-to-day marketing support needs throughout the organization, including Marketing and Business Development.
Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.
Measure and assess client satisfaction.
Public relations.
Attend local area professional organization or chambers of commerce functions.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing required.
Three to five years of successful experience in marketing.
Agency and Professional
services
experience preferred.
Engineering industry exposure or background a plus.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to present concepts and recommendations effectively within the organization.
Experience with B2B marketing.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of Wordpress CMS required.
B2B social media experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Big picture thinker but also someone who can plan, organize and coordinate from start to finish all projects and tasks.

TRAVEL
Travel on an occasional basis. May include day trips or overnight, and extended travel from time-to-time.

Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to visit a client's office or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply. When performing work outside Mid-South Engineering offices, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by Mid-South and/or Client as required.
Additional hours beyond 40 per week may be necessary as workload's dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Incumbent will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
